DeMarcus Cousins speaks on lack of intensity from the Kings

Included in the tweet below is the link to the video of DeMarcus Cousins’s post-game reaction after the game last night where the Kings were blown out by the Dallas Mavericks 101-78 on their home court.

Frustration is an understandable emotion from Cousins do to the obvious lack of leadership and effort shown by the entire Kings team. Cousins speaks on the attitude of all of his teammates in the locker room and how their attitude is the major problem right now that is leading to the losses that they incur. Over and over again in the interview you here DeMarcus pleading to his teammates to “act like you care”. While some may look at this quote as another sign of immaturity from Cousins, it could also be a ploy by DeMarcus to get in the heads of his teammates and to stir up their passion for the game once again.

DeMarcus Cousins also points out that he has not been doing everything possible to be a good leader for this team. He has to do a better job of, as he puts it, “leading by example”.

The Kings now hold a 2 game losing streak and are 1-10 in the past 11 games. This season continues to be a very disappointing one for the Kings and it doesn’t look like there will be any changes to that fact any time soon.
